Currently searching for a Data Governance and Data Controls Analyst for one of the fastest growing Global Macro Hedge Funds.

The position is diverse in nature; taking lead on all data governance and controls across the fund, appraising current frameworks across data linage, data flows, reporting and aggregation. Naturally, this incumbent will also take ownership of the impact current regulation has on the funds data frameworks, particularly the influence and requirements from MiFID II and GDPR and ensuring a culture at the fund that is committed to data compliance, transparency and integrity.

This position will engage across the entire fund. Working closely with front office and across infrastructure, analysing upstream and downstream consequences of data and building RDA frameworks to ensure data sharing and flows is; accurate, on time and reliable. Externally, this person will also manage all Data Vendors and maintain seamless data inflow and implementation.

The right candidate will have a strong Data Governance and Controls background, a breath of asset class coverage, solid regulation and risk understanding and perhaps contributed to the publication of white papers on key data governance topics. Strong technical skills across excel and some of the coding languages would be desirable and advantageous but not a prerequisite. Coupled with said skills as a technician, the right candidate will also embody a personal interest in and commitment to, the importance and value of robust and transparent data governance and frameworks.

The fund would be particularly receptive to those coming from a consultancy or data solution provider for financial services institutions, who is curious, intrigued and motivated by the opportunity to challenge the status quo and influence real change by flipping to the client side.
