We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated, Junior Account Manager, looking for their chance to shine. Working across a broad product range that includes casualwear, nightwear, swimwear, underwear, knitwear and outerwear, predominantly Childrenswear but also working on some Womenswear and Menswear. The role will be a mixture of servicing and growing existing accounts, as well as developing new business in line with the company strategy.

Our client is a leading supplier of licensed clothing, to a majority of the high street and major supermarkets, with the rights to some of the UK's biggest characters and brands. Offices are based in zone 2 and just a 2 mins walk from the station.

Main responsibilities of this role will include:
  • Manage and grow your relationship and revenue with your accounts, identify new sales opportunities to grow incremental business, to reach the company's and your own sales targets.
  • You will be expected to work closely with your accounts, understand their needs and strategy as well the market, licenses and trends in general. If you're not already, you should become an expert in your field.
  • Manage and solve and issues internally and externally with minimal impact to the business and account.
  • Working to tight deadlines, manage priorities efficiently and able to adapt and overcome issues confidently.
  • Establish budgets with the client and company and secure resources required to meet targets. May involve travel to Factories, with Buyers and Design.
  • To ensure that all other members in other departments working on the same account of team are all 'joined up' and working towards the same objectives and within the agreed CP.
Person requirements:
  • Proven track record in Account Management/Sales with another Licensed Apparel/Childrenswear supplier is essential, preferably working with some of the same accounts. You will need to be able to hit the ground running, so familiarity would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of working with India and China, Experience at garment costing and excellent negotiation skills
  • Must be highly organised with the ability to manage and work well in a team as well as independently, and lead when required.
  • A strong confident, communicator written and verbally. Able to present ranges passionately, identifying and highlighting key selling points
  • A strong commercial sense for product. Driven and motivated with a pro-active approach and an eagerness to input into product development from a commercial point of view.
  • Ability to take ownership of their accounts and drive their own strategy, with strong retail knowledge from High St to High end
  • Some who is commercially focussed, but also creative and innovative. Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint,
  • A strong relationship builder, a team player and is just as focused on the long term gains as short term wins.
  • And most importantly, a warm, outgoing, personality who can represent the company with the passion and enthusiasm required.
