We are currently recruiting for a market leading Pharmaceutical organisation with an exciting new opportunity working as a Primary Care Representative within the Diabetes market. This exciting role will be working across the South London area and will function predominantly at Primary Care level. In this role, you will be responsible for selling defined company brands in Diabetes to clinical customers across GPs, Practice Nurses and Retail Chemists through face to face contact. Essential Requirements: Proven success in Pharmaceutical sales is ideal, however candidates with commercial field sales experience, and a relevant degree may be considered. Experience of working in Diabetes sales would be advantageous, but is not essential. Presenting with strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (both with customers and colleagues). Awareness of external competitive practice. Strong results focus. Qualified to 'A' level standard or equivalent. Full driving licence. Ideally ABPI qualified Role Responsibilities: Responsible for selling defined brands in your specialist therapy area to clinical customers across Primary and Secondary care (GPs, Practice Nurses, Retail Chemists, Hospital Customers) through face to face contact. Organise and host clinical promotional sales meetings and symposiums. Develop and continuously improve a high standard of selling skills, product knowledge and knowledge of the NHS. Demonstrate a level of knowledge in your therapy area that makes you a recognised specialist in this area. Deliver against an activity plan within key practices, retail and hospital sectors as agreed through effective planning and implementation of call and meetings plans. Deliver agreed tactics within territory action plan and ensure plans are up to date. Ensure that all activities comply with corporate governance standards and the ABPI code. Keep a daily record of customer contacts and share with colleagues. Identify the needs of customers and opportunities to provide solutions to develop business. Identify emerging customers who will influence our sales. Advocacy - Work to develop key customers in line with brand strategy and as part of the local account plan. Ensure that all meetings are planned and approved on the account homepage. Meet deadlines for business planning requests, business reporting, etc. Role Specific Competencies: Shows initiative and is self-starting. High emotional intelligence demonstrated through management of own attitude. IT literate with strong analytical skills. Able to influence NHS staff at the highest levels. Flexible "can do" attitude needed to thrive in a fast-growing company. Self-accountability/motivation. Recruitment Process: 2 stage process.
