Commercial Banking provides support to corporate clients through the provision of core banking products, such as lending, deposits and transaction banking services whilst also offering clients expertise in capital markets (private placements, bonds and syndicated loans), financial markets (foreign exchange, interest rate management, money market and credit) and private equity. This enables us to meet the varying and sometimes complex needs of all types of corporate clients.

At Lloyds Banking Group, the Commercial Banking Control Function (CBCF) partners the business to establish and maintain a robust control framework that supports business growth and enables quality client service, focusing on operational risk and fraud and financial crime. The function aims to keep the Commercial Banking division - and our clients - safe.

We're currently looking for an Assistant Manager to join the 'Markets and LDC' business partnering team. This team is a key interface between CBCF and the CB Markets and LDC businesses. LDC (Lloyds Development Capital) is our private equity specialist with a 30 year history of supporting management buy-outs, equity release (cash out), development (Dev Cap) and acquisition finance transactions.

You'll be part of a busy risk and control team, working alongside and supporting the business in a dynamic environment of substantial regulatory change. You'll:

* Partner with the CB Markets desks, applying our Operational Risk framework to enhance the risk management of the business
* Assist CB Markets in their compliance with the Group's policies, procedures and guidelines, as well as with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
* Support the business in implementing actions to enhance controls to effectively mitigate identified risks.
* Undertake specialist testing to confirm ongoing effectiveness of key business controls
* Undertake process reviews to identify and address weaknesses and inefficiencies
* Support CB Markets in management of risk events, including; completion of risk event reports, performance of root cause analysis and recommendation of actions to avoid re-occurrence

It's a great opportunity for to learn about CB Markets business and products, such as loans, derivatives, and bonds. Once your established, you'll also have opportunities to gain Green Belt certification and to build your stakeholder network across the CB Markets business and the associated risk and support partnering teams.
