A global organisation who specialise in the Installation and Maintenance of AV equipment for corporate and commercial environments are currently seeking an experienced engineer to join their Helpdesk team.
The main purpose of the role is to provide office based helpdesk service and support with remote telephone technical support and diagnostics to include troubleshooting of Video Conference, Audio Visual, Projection, Pro-Audio, Video and control systems.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing safe and correct diagnosis of faults and advice on operation of all aspects of Audio Visual, Video Conferencing and Display technologies.

• Responding to service tickets that have been logged via web based portal, telephone or email and managing the service ticket from start to finish
• Accurately and quickly diagnose and remedy faults and problems. Troubleshoot AV systems and equipment.
• Providing remote support to clients over the telephone and utilising remote support technologies
• Involvement in organizing and maintaining the service engineers' diary
• Liaison with other internal departments, clients and contractors ensuring that they know what we need from them and what we need to deliver to them.
• Understand the contractual requirements of each client.
• Ensure that service tickets are accurately maintained on the service portal.
• To ensure a prompt, courteous and appropriate response to all customer requests for assistance and support, working to defined service level agreements and within contractual timeframes / frameworks.
• Responsible for accurate tracking of the clients' hardware inventory.
• To provide advice and support to all other staff whenever necessary.
• Work with on site engineers to assist in the diagnosis and rectification of faults to ensure that all systems are fully functional and that equipment and system down time are kept to a minimum and ensure complete closeout and turn-over of jobs to the client
• Be proactive in suggesting new methods and techniques to improve efficiency.
• Other duties as required or assigned by company management.

Desirable Attributes:

• Fully conversant with Cisco/Polycom VC technologies, ideally infrastructure as well as endpoints
• Experience working with TMS
• Fully conversant with control systems - particularly AMX
• Experience using AMX RMS
• Fully conversant with audio DSP based technologies, gain structure and the requirements of sound reinforcement within the presentation environment.
• Knowledge of touch screen and web-based programming and control technology.
• A formal AV qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
• Experience in the testing, fault finding, servicing, maintenance, engineering and installation of audio visual systems
