Werner and Werner Ltd, a London based building company, is looking for a person to fill the position of a Project Manager.

Werner and Werner Ltd has been operating for 6 years and we are in a great position to expand. Our main sources of clients are: references from satisfied customers and good relations with architects. Moreover, we take care of advertising and marketing.

We offer a broad spectrum of building works for general public as well as commercial companies, focusing on medium-sized projects, such as basements, extensions, loft conversions, refurbishments, office & shop fit-outs. Most of our projects require high standards of workmanship.

Suitable candidate:

We are looking for well-organised and challenge-driven person with project management experience in building and construction. The ideal candidate should have not only good understanding of managing building works but also analytical and problem solving skills, strong management capabilities, excellent communication skills, ability to prioritise tasks and good organisational & time management skills. The candidate needs to be ambitious and understand the correlation between efficiency and attaining success. Fluent English and Polish in both speech and writing is a critical requirement.

About the position:

Project Manager is a dynamic role and bears a great deal of responsibility. In this position you will manage, supervise and support the building projects from the planning stage to the completion, making sure that building process is well organised and runs in accordance to the plan, all deadlines are met and any arising issues are solved in timely manner. You will be a key link between all parties: customer, architect, structural engineer, building inspector and side manager.

Additional requirements:

  • BSc/BEng or higher education
  • Driving licence cat. A or CBT or ability to obtain it
  • Good knowledge of technical drawings, preferably SketchUp or CAD

Key duties:

  • Preparation of plans and milestones for the project
  • Revising and editing of existing plans, structural drawings and project specifications
  • Preparation of technical drawings for builder's design elements of the project
  • Constant and close liaising with clients, architects, building control, side managers and all related parties
  • Client's or Architect's minutes - either provide or respond
  • Controlling building regulations
  • Managing the whole building process from the beginning to the end including scheduling works, managing employees
  • Keeping the project cost effective
  • Weekly planning and execution
  • Revision of commenced work
