Are you a hands-on Facilities Assistant with excellent customer service abilities, skilled in Maintenance operations and looking for new opportunity in Central London. Based in historic buildings near parliament our client is both a busy office and desirable event space and they are looking for a skilled Facilities Coordinator to join them and ensure a seamless facilities services is provided - acting as the first point of contact for all building and health and safety related enquiries. The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for full maintenance and security to employees and tenants including operating as a key holder.

This is a full-time permanent role offering GBP20,000 per annum.

Working within a team of three, this role is operated on a shift basis - The working pattern is 7:00 - 16:00 or 11:00 - 20:00 + late nights when events are scheduled.

Core Duties of the Facilities Assistant:

- Provide first calls customer service to all employees, tenants and visitors
- Provide reception cover ensuring visitors are signed in correctly
- Ensure that all meeting rooms are maintained and ready for use
- Ensure that all defects to the building are reported promptly and repaired immediately
- Ensure contractors and external suppliers deliver to agreed SLAs
- Carry out health and safety and building audits

Essential requirements of the Facilities Assistant:
- Previous proven facilities experience
- Well versed in dealing with basic repairs and minor defects
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- A willingness to be flexible
- A high degree of professionalism and diplomacy
- Comfortable with all elements of MS Office Suite
