Our client is looking for an EHS Advisor to cover maternity leave to begin ASAP to join their friendly team. The successful applicant will support the EHS Manager, EHS Coordinators and Committees by assisting in the delivery of EHS programs and initiatives across several offices and field based staff. The individual will be the first point of contact for all EHS queries within the UK Market.
This role will be working 3 - 4 full days a week. There will be some travel required in this role.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Experience of working in a Health and Safety Advisory position in a medium to large company
Experience of conducting risk assessments, accident investigations and DSE assessments
Previous experience of working on multiple projects simultaneously
A proven ability to deliver training is desirable
Highly organised with the ability to remain calm under pressure
The ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritising and handling multiple tasks
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Proactive and able to demonstrate initiative
A NEBOSH general certificate (or equivalent) would be desirable but not essential
An understanding of current EHS legislation would also be beneficial
Well-developed range of interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and third party personnel at all levels
Sets and delivers against the highest standards with great attention to detail and accuracy
Discrete and highly confidential
Computer literate with good working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint
Be prepared to travel within the UK regularly.
