About the role
As an Associate Director for Oil Trading, you will be responsible for managing the risk of Oil portfolios in the E&A time zones and will be expected to maintain strong relationships with other primary book-runners to ensure a seamless service coverage. In this role, you will work closely with the rest of the team in contributing to the Global Oil business and the overall Commodities business. You will share joint responsibility for growing the E&A Commodities business profitability and in developing a market leading position. Other key aspects to your role are ensuring accurate price making, monitoring of limits, achieving strategies, accurate recording and booking of deals, maintaining positions within risk limits, meeting compliance & regulatory requirements, and the ongoing improvement of end-to-end operational processes. As a valued member of the team, you will also contribute to fostering a strong collaborative culture and positive team dynamics consistent with the Bank's Values.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following -
  • Extensive experience in the global oil market
  • Existing relationships across the oil sector
  • Experience in profitably running trading books
  • Strong product and market knowledge
  • Highly numerate
  • Relevant academic qualifications
