Technical Team Leader

Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Technical Team Leader to join our team in Weybridge. What will I be responsible for? The Technical Team Leader is a key role which will be responsible for providing practical technical support to the Major project teams during the life cycle of the projects. Your duties will also include: - Involvement at tender stage on complex projects to ensure specific technical proposals are robust and technically achievable - Providing support to the Project Manager during the design phase of projects including technical solutions to specific client and Employer requirements - Producing interface schedules for fire/BMS/emergency power/other bespoke interfaces with other trades - Supporting MDC on technically challenging features to configure and order from factories - Providing wiring diagrams for PORT installation, special COPS, special landing third party fixtures - Producing car top drawings for inclusion of all special equipment - Reviewing specifications to ensure they are fully understood - Identifying and co-ordinating any Design Examination Certificates that can't be designed out of scheme - Producing pre-test items lists - Co-ordinating the commissioning on site - Co-ordinating black building tests - Being the technical "go to" person who engages other areas of the business to resolve complex technical issues (e.g. PORT) - Training on-site engineers on start-up routines, how to install units to reduce call backs and installation techniques to ensure ride quality specifications are met What we are looking for Ideally, the successful Technical Team Leader should already hold NVQ level 4 but this is not essential as the candidate would be enrolled on NVQ level 4 at commencement of this role. Excellent communication skills, a customer centric approach and strong organisational skills are essential. Lift industry background is preferred but will consider candidates from the construction and transportation background.
