Learning Support Assistant Specification
This role requires a positive graduate who has an impressive academic record and a 2:1 or better in your degree and has the ability to encourage diligence in their students. The right applicant will have a very caring nature which will allow them to work with all students regardless of their ability and someone who has the skills to demonstrate a passion for working with children with SEN that sees them progress their educational and social needs. About the Learning Support Assistant Role
In this Learning Support Assistant post you will be gaining new skills and receiving ample support from a CPD scheme that has been designed specifically for graduates in your position. You will be tasked with guiding SEN pupils through the academic and social elements of school life, monitoring their progress, assisting with individualised activities and reporting to the SENCo. The role will also see you developing students in 1:1 tutoring and group sessions to boost attainment and speed up progression. You will be responsible for the academic and social progress of EAL pupils and ensuring that they are adjusting to school life.
