Our client requires a highly skilled Document Controller to work alongside the Project Support & Development teams. Within this role you will support a range of project teams with the day to day running of projects, assisting each by carrying out a number of duties in a rigorous and efficient manner.

The Document Control Team is part of the wider Support Team which ultimately reports to the Head of Practice Operations. The Support Team achieves its collective aims through teamwork, high levels of service to colleagues and clients, personal development, cost awareness and receptiveness to new ways of working, recognising at all times the crucial contribution it has to the overall success of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting to maintain the various project extranet and EDMS sites (Conject (BIW), Asite, 4P, Livelink, Business Collaborator, Buzzsaw)

  • Carrying out routine document control activities, such as filing, uploading & downloading, printing, query handling, copying and scanning, on a daily basis

  • Managing drawing files according to individual project procedures

  • Ensuring all procedures and protocols are followed at all times

  • Assisting to maintain the practice-wide document management system (Workspace)

  • Carrying out project information audits on Workspace

  • Providing support and guidance to project teams

  • Supporting the wider project team beyond document control responsibilities

Skills & Experience:

  • 1 year's Document Control experience preferred

  • Strong IT skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Previous understanding of paper handling systems

  • Motivated and positive

  • Good organisational and time management skills

  • Flexible, with a willingness to tackle a variety of duties and to learn new skills

  • Strong team player, with a readiness to 'muck in'
