Role Purpose:

Managing a portfolio of customers in a specific area in regards to Phone Calls, Orders, Claims etc. In addition, there will be additional tasks to be shared with the rest of the team such as mailing, email sorting and other activities as well as an analysis on customer behaviours, relating to sales trends.

The role reports to the Customer Service Manager. It is permanent with a 6 months probationary period.

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

  • Customer service experience in handling moderate to complex customer inquiries in call centre, insurance, manufacturing, software, telecommunications, retail or eyewear industries
  • Demonstrated internet knowledge and understanding of basic internet browser settings
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple software programs, simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of MS Office package (Excel intermediate preferable but not essential)
  • SAP knowledge preferable
  • Effective verbal communication skills to prioritize multiple tasks and to be available for incoming calls and inquires
  • Effective written communication skills to clearly document customer situations
  • Excellent interpersonal and rapport building skills
  • Ability to ask appropriate and relevant questions to identify customer needs
  • Proven problem solving, negotiations, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to use appropriate discretion and judgment in applying customer/call handling guidelines
  • Ability to listen, process transactions and interact with customers simultaneously in a fast paced environment
