Person Specification

To be an SEN/ASD Teaching Assistant you will need to be a confident graduate who has previous experience working with children who have special educational needs and earned a second-class degree or better. The perfect SEN/ASD Teaching Assistant will be able to demonstrate their care with their empathetic nature and relay their passion for education to their pupils. The school are hoping for a graduate who is able to inspire those around them with their enthusiastic nature.

About the Role

As a SEN/ASD Teaching Assistant at this school you will be supporting teaching and learning across the school and you will be assisting SEN pupils through school life. Day-to-day, you will be making the most of the support of a SENCO. As your confidence grows in the role you move in to leading booster and intervention groups and mentoring pupils 1:1 and working in classes across the school.
