Ecolab is seeking a Sales Account Manager to join its industry leading Nalco Water business team, in Leeds.

Sales Account Manager Responsibilities:

In this position, you will ensure order and revenue growth of Company products and services to assigned customer and prospect accounts by analysing and meeting customer needs; developing and implementing sales plans; selling products and providing customer support in an assigned geographic territory. You will also be responsible for:

  • Achieving annual agreed sales targets.
  • Establishing selling strategy, planning and tactics for sales pursuits.
  • Retaining, building and maintaining relationships with current customers and ensuring all potential sales opportunities are followed up.
  • Analysing customer needs, requirements, and strategic plans recommending solutions with Company programs.
  • Keeping management informed through regular activity reports and communications.
  • Focusing on customer retention and improving customer satisfaction through excellence.
  • Managing the sales order process from order acceptance to delivery in a timely and professional manner.
  • Managing customer contracts by verifying supplied products and contractual service levels.
  • Providing technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer complaints, escalating as required.
  • Adding customer value by acting as business consultant to customers’ key management.
  • Achieving penetration of targeted new business opportunities through application of professional selling skills and sales planning techniques.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating product results and competitive developments; communicating customer requirements not currently offered by Company to Marketing.

The ideal Sales Account Manager:

To be successful for this Sales Account Manager position you will be educated to degree standard within science or a technical speciality, ideally with experience of working in the water industry or a similar sector. You will also possess successful direct sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, alongside a history of building and maintaining relationships with clients to exercise every possible sales opportunity.
