Product Quality Engineer
Hook
£30k+ (depending on experience) + pension + benefits 
Mon-Fri 8.00am to 4.30pm

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Process Improvement tools and techniques 
  • Good Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and CAD and Gerber generation software experience 

THE ROLE
As a Product Quality Engineer your role will be to enable production to maintain and improve quality, cost and delivery performance by providing on line technical support, standard operating procedures, assembly tooling and visual aids. This will involve understanding, defining methods and supporting processes that meet and manage customer requirements. Other duties will include: 

  • Own product quality 
  • Technical lead for contract reviews/production readiness reviews/build reviews 
  • Technical lead for line support/production queries 
  • Returns material review/concession applications 
  • Lead RMA activity / root cause analysis / SCAR support / image capture / feedback 
  • Define process flow lines/throughput management 
  • Conduct Internal audits
  • Generate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's) to AS9102 or equivalent 
  • Customer interaction and liaising

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and work effectively to deadlines 
  • Proactive and flexible approach
