The Head of Credit Risk Modelling is responsible for the development and maintenance all credit risk models.

This includes but is not limited to developing and maintaining models for the purpose of capital (IRB) and impairment (IFRS9) calculation, operational scorecards (application and behavioural) and risk based pricing models throughout the bank.

This role requires the occupant to plan the credit risk function over the short, medium and long term.

Short term priorities: Create and build modelling team. Develop and implement Retail Mortgage IRB models, IFRS9 impairment models.

Medium term priorities: Develop and implement IRB models for commercial and consumer exposures. Embed usage of credit risk model across the bank

Long term priorities: Monitor and maintain credit risk models. Help senior managers to take data driven decisions. Help drive the credit risk agenda, support the business growth within risk appetite

The role will require management of technical teams and modelling projects


A post graduate qualification, (e.g. PhD., MSc.) in a numeric field

A wealth of experience in credit risk experience

Technical and practical knowledge of credit risk modelling

Experience of working across modelling, methodology, reporting and analytics teams in risk management

Advanced SAS, SQL and VBA skills
