Group Internal Audit work closely with regulators and other stakeholders to support the Group strategy and focus our work on the areas of greatest risk. Our vision is to be a leading internal audit function and support the Group to become the best bank for customers. Together we make it possible.

As Head of Audit, Operational Resiliency & Sourcing, you'll be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a high quality audit response through the management of a team, influencing business strategy, working practices and standards by providing insight, judgment and technical expertise.

You'll proactively challenge and influence senior management and executives on a wide range of operational and sourcing issues. You will understand the cultural aspects of operational risk management and be capable of designing and delivering solid strategies. You'll be involved in the identification of issues and delivery of hard messages to business leaders, but able to bring a positive outlook whilst articulating and presenting necessary changes that will enhance the safety and sustainability of the Group.

Focus areas include: Operations auditing across a variety of Commercial and Retail Banking businesses, as well as Insurance, Pensions and Enterprise functions (such as Property and Customer Services). Third party suppliers, plus off-shoring and outsourcing risk/control understanding is a key element of the role.
In addition, you will have a strong understanding of risk management including design and operation of the 3 Lines of Defence; and the Regulatory environment in which LBG operates.
Naturally, you'll apply and champion the Group Audit methodology and standards and keep abreast of audit best practice and the changing regulatory environment.

As a senior leader, you'll develop, coach and motivate colleagues to create high performing teams that consistently demonstrate group values. You will also support the Audit Directors for the other Group functions in their Operational Resiliency and Sourcing activities.

- You will come from an Audit and/or Risk background with detailed knowledge of commercial credit risk management and a good knowledge of wider aspects of risk management
- Ideally you'll possess professional qualifications, a recognised accounting/auditing qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CIIA or similar, with extensive post-qualification experience
- You'll have audited (internally and/or externally) within Financial Services, as well as having broad knowledge around risk management
- You will have the ability to influence in a complex and diverse stakeholder environment and will have a proven track record of delivery, managing under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills are essential
