GLL is looking for a Finance Supervisor to join our busy finance team at head office in Woolwich, South East London. GLL is the UK's largest leisure provider and we've been growing year-on-year since our inception over 20 years ago. This growth means that we now reconcile over 100,000 transactions over 44 bank accounts every month as well as generating in excess of GBP7.6million via direct debit each month. Already 5 Supervisor post strong, we're seeking to grow our team by adding another Finance Supervisor to specialise in Sales Ledger.

Supervising up to five people including Finance Assistants and an Administrator as well as providing support to the Finance Manager, you will undertake the supervision of income reconciliation on a weekly basis complying with strict deadlines and dealing with all discrepancies, ensure accurate transfer of all income into the accounting package, undertake the processing of cash receipts on a regular basis and to perform monthly bank reconciliations. You will also manage and control cash control accounts, audit potential fraudulent activity, monitor card payments systems and transactions to GLL.

Administration, accuracy and attention to detail will be key, but excellent customer service skills are also imperative. You'll be dealing with our customers, external bodies, other departments within the organisation and key business stakeholders, so you'll need to demonstrate knowledge, support and professionalism as you'll be representing the finance department as a whole. Passionate about what you do and thriving in a fast-paced environment, your can-do attitude and flexible approach will be an inspiration to your team. Ideally, you'll be AAT-qualified and have a Direct Debit Certificate, but if not, suitable experience will suffice as will a broad knowledge of how finance departments operate.
