Job Summary

We currently have Bank Receptionist opportunities to cover our Out of Hours in Surrey at a number of our locations:-Woking, Haslemere, Ashford and Cranleigh

This is a 0 hour bank contract with a variety of shifts available between 08.00-00.00 Saturday/Sunday/Bank Holidays, however there is the possibility for part time permanent roles to be on a fixed weekly rota.

As a receptionist you will be responsible in preparing and opening the centre for the patients and doctors arrival. You will also ensure patients are seen in a professional manner following the guidelines issued by Care UK and input required data into the systems.

Care UK provides primary care services to their patients outside normal surgery hours. This incorporates nurse advice, doctor advice, primary care centres and a home visiting service.

The rates vary depending on the shifts and are listed below:

Receptionist Monday to Friday (evening) GBP8.21 ph
Saturday and Sunday GBP8.80 ph

Key Responsibilities

•Ensuring that the site is open and ready for the start of the shift and locking the site up securely at the close of a shift.
•Setting up equipment and paperwork ready for the arrival of both Doctors and patients.
•Greeting patients and dealing with them in an efficient and professional manner.
•Effective telephone communication relating to patients, Doctors and central base.
•Accurately entering patients diagnosis on system.
•Completing a PCC Log Sheet during every shift as per the guidelines.
•Checking and completing stock requisitions on a regular basis for drugs, stationary, disposables and sundries.
•Accurate record keeping regarding distribution of prescriptions and drugs.
•Maintaining tidiness on site at all times.
•Completing Doctor's reminders as per the instructions issued.
•Ensuring all files on site are up to date and all paperwork filed away.
