Great opportunity to gain experience as an HR Administrator, where you will be responsible for handling a range of departmental administration, as well as supporting the HR Manager in her duties. We are looking for a candidate to work 25 hours a week (mutually agreed pattern to include Mondays) and the role is offered on the basis of a 9 month Maternity contract. You will be responsible for assisting with recruitment administration, maintaining spreadsheets and the accuracy of HR database records. You will provide a range of administration support including correspondence, reference checking, arranging interviews, absence administration, preparing contracts of employment, in addition to administration relating to recruitment and training. Our client feels this may suit a person with at least a year's experience working within an office environment, perhaps suiting an Administrator or PA looking to join an HR Department. Personal qualities are key to this role and in addition to administration skills, we will be focusing on candidates demonstrating a relaxed, friendly manner with great tact and diplomacy. You will need to have good MS Word skills and basic/intermediate Excel.
