Infrastructure Support Engineer – Redhill – £32-36k car allowance On-call - Permanent Are you experienced in building and supporting IT communication solutions? Do you have experience working in a Government or Military type environment? The Infrastructure Support Engineer ’s main responsibilities are to provide knowledge and expertise, and to assist and participate in the services offered to customers. You will be involved with providing support for corporate, military and high-level security customer networks. You will help to build and support IT Infrastructure communication solutions from customer requirements. Some of the Key Responsibilities: · To provide support to the Engineering team in the build, implementation, test commissioning and installation of customer IT infrastructure both at HQ and at remote sites · Provide one to one demonstrations and user training for IT solutions both internal and customer facing · To provide after sales 3 rd line fault finding support for completed IT Projects and IT communication issues · Where required, carry out onboard network installations as well as provide trouble shooting for customer onboard IT infrastructure · Be part of the 1 st & 2 nd line support team, fault finding and solving problems · Work with external suppliers where support cannot be done in house to assist with problem resolution · Be part of the 24/7 on call team responding to emergencies (on call roughly 1 week in 4) · To carry out routine and planned maintenance on completed project infrastructure on and off site · To develop and maintain records of system build status, software status and condition of installations on and off site · To recommend, and verify through adequate testing, the introduction of appropriate IT peripherals, documenting as required · To provide technical advice, support and training to the Customer Centre, Workshop, IT Department and other Company Departments as required · To keep abreast of new developments in the IT and communications industry Essential Experience: · Ability to diagnose complex IT faults, document, communicate and follow up · Clean Driving Licence · Minimum of SC Clearance with ability to quickly gain DV clearance · Experience working in a Government or Military type environment - including Cyber Security · Network administration skills and virtualisation technology (VMware / Hyper-V) · Hands on working knowledge of WAN’s and LAN’s, Ethernet, switches, routers, firewalls Benefits Include: · £32,000 - £36,000 minimum basic salary · £4,200 minimum for annual on-call shift allowance (1 in every 4 weeks) · £1,740 annual car allowance This is an ideal opportunity to join a leading organisation currently going from strength to strength.
