Responsible for : Kitchen

Scope of Job : The organisation, Hygiene, Cleaning, Preparation,
Presentation, Ordering of Food, Menus.
Place of Work : La Barbe
Purpose of Position : To ensure high standards of cooking and hygiene,
customer satisfaction. To hold any position in the kitchen
To assist in maximising cost control and to reduce waste to a
minimum. To keep good relations with any other members of
staff and Management.

Main Responsibilities

1. To formulate smooth operational procedures for kitchen, customer complaints, ordering of food and
menu correlation, planning and preparation.
2. To be able to hold any department as needed from pastry, starters or main courses
3. To be aware of all aspects of work in the kitchen during normal opening hours, and to maintain
cleanliness in all communal areas.
4. To maintain standards and quality
5. To adopt strict personal and professional hygiene convention
6. To attend to all linen requirements as needed by kitchen.
7. To keep stock to an adequate level.
8. To be aware of the importance of customer satisfaction, food presentation
9. To notify accordingly the Management of sickness or any accident occurring.
10. To be aware of the policies of the restaurant regarding food, Haccp, health safety and fire acts.
11. To deal with any customer comments or complaints in an effective manner.
12. To carry out any reasonable request made by a member of the management.
13. To maintain good relations between all staff members
