We are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to join an award-winning state-of-the-art colocation facility based in Surrey. The Role & Candidate Profile The primary purpose of this role is to acquire, develop and close co-location sales opportunities both self-generated and from a target list of Corporate and service providers. The role also requires leveraging and cross-selling the strengths of the associated carrier business where opportunities exist. Responsibilities - Sales forecasting and achieving sales targets - Work closely with the Marketing Manager in creating, maintaining and managing a pipeline of qualified opportunities in line with agreed targets - Identifying, managing and monitoring potential business with clients - Developing and maintaining the Aegis offer, business strategy and the market environment - Will be accountable for the achievement of sales revenue targets by generating new businesses within the assigned territory / international. - Qualifications and Relevant Experience The successful candidate will: - Have experience selling datacenter, disaster recovery, co-location or managed services - Possess strong commercial awareness and experience of sales forecasting, targeting and reporting - Experience in engaging with and managing channel partners - Have a proven track record achieving against targets and selling up to senior board level - Understand strategic selling and have the ability to negotiate and close major deals - Demonstrate an understanding of telecoms carrier data connectivity services - Have the ability to lead and develop multi-functional and diverse virtual teams - Display leadership, motivational and people development skills - Be articulate, confident and tenacious with the ability to self-manage and use initiative - Ideally have knowledge, and experience, of strategic selling processes, such as Miller Heinmann, TAS, Holden, Mercuri etc. - Be organised and professional with the ability to work accurately to demanding timeframes - Demonstrate a flexible approach to work with the ability to undertake occasional travel in Europe
