The Compliance Officer will provide a professional compliance service to the business, maintaining and communication of the policies and procedures. Managing regulatory submissions and providing general compliance advice to the business. Client Details This Financial Services - Corporate Insurance Broker provides Insurance, Risk Management and related services to businesses and private clients. Located in Surrey. Description The successful Financial Services- Compliance Officer will carry out the following responsibilities: Provide advice and guidance on how to remain compliant within appropriate current FCA, PRA, DPA/GDPR and Financial Crime regulations including Financial Sanction requirements for the UK while ensuring that the strategic developments are met Monitor new regulatory mandates, rules and requirements, ensure that compliance policies are kept up to date and that revisions are disseminated in a timely manner Design and implement compliance training and educational programmes; actively participate in management training, including new starter induction programmes Assist in the oversight of compliance processes to ensure appropriate advice in relation to regulatory matters is provided to the business in an effective and efficient manner Provide advice on compliance with applicable laws and regulations to the business, for example in the form of policies and procedures or written updates Assess the possible impact of any regulatory development on the operations of the business and work with the business with regard to compliance Be a point of contact for managers and employees regarding compliance related queries Provide regulatory assistance with projects as they arise including the implementation and monitoring of the internal systems and controls after completion of the projects to ensure controls are maintained Profile The successful Financial Services- Compliance Officer will have the following: - Good technical background in General insurance compliance / regulation. - Clear understanding of relevant law and legislation - Up to date understanding of current trends / practices in compliance / regulation arena - Meeting and dealing directly with staff at a senior level - Likely to have circa minimum 3-5 years' working knowledge of Insurance - Excellent and accurate administration & communication skills - Good leadership potential - Networking / influencing skills - Problem solving ability - Ability to utilise IT for maximum advantage The successful candidate will be located in Surrey with some travel to other businesses Job Offer Competitive Package on offer Location: Surrey, London
