Excellent opportunity for a Proposal Engineer to join an expert water treatment practice on a permanent basis in Surrey. Our client is a global leader within their industry, and have experience working on a variety of water and wastewater treatment projects in over 90 countries. Due to their heightened reputation and growing client base, they are seeking a Proposal Engineer to assist with their increasing workload. The selected candidate will have a variety of roles and responsibilities including: - Assisting with the preparation of multi-disciplinary proposals for the water and wastewater industry - Understanding client specifications and drawings, and ensuring documentation and deliverables required for formal tender submission are understood - Discussing project requirements with clients and sub-contractors - Developing strategies for each tender in conjunction with other members of the team - Defining process requirements for proposals and tenders and ensuring they meet specified quality standards - Assisting with the process design, engineering design and production of specifications for proposals, in association with mechanical, electrical and process designers - Checking specifications and tender drawings to confirm they meet project brief requirements - Identifying risks and preparing technical/commercial risk analyses for proposals - Ensuring timely and cost effective sourcing of equipment - Preparing and assisting with the preparation of cost estimates using company estimating tools - Participating in tender reviews Essential skills, experience and attributes: - Proven experience in the water industry (on projects over £100m) - Knowledge and/or experience with Causeway or other relevant estimating software - Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Excel in particular - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities - Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines - Knowledge of relevant legislation and codes of practice To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK without visa restrictions.
