Systems Administrator SCORCH/ SCSM/ SCOM2012 £35,000-£45,000 per annum REDHILL Job Details: - Support the existing SCORCH and SCSM environments (development, testing, production) - Gather and document requirements for new runbooks and management packs - Develop, test, deploy and maintain new and existing SCORCH Runbooks. - Install, configure, tune and troubleshoot SCORCH installations and runbooks - Install, configure, tune and troubleshoot SCSM installations and management packs - Design and develop new SCSM management packs, for example creating new CI classes - Improve SCORCH and SCSM to allow for better incident management and problem resolution. - Maintain system design documentation. - Maintain IT documentation and follow IT procedures - Assist and provide information for periodic reports on performance and availability. - Review and recommend improvements to capacity, availability and performance management of the SCORCH and SCSM installations. - Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations - In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time, as may be reasonably required of them Skills Required: Essential: - A university degree in a numerate subject (e.g. Computer Science, maths, engineering, natural science) - Formal training with a SCOM product Desirable: - Foundation in ITIL - Networking, Unix or Microsoft qualifications - Formal training with SCOM 2012 Software - Formal training with SCSM 2012 Software Essential: - Prior experience of managing a monitoring environment. - Prior experience of working in the IT industry. - Experience of using SCORCH in a corporate environment - Experience of using SCSM 2012 in a corporate environment - Experience of scripting in Powershell in an corporate environment.
