The London Library is seeking a well-motivated part-qualified/qualified by experience accountant to play an important role in financial administration during a period of strategic change.

Accounts Assistant
Full-time, permanent
Salary: GBP24,814 - GBP27,513 (incl LW) plus benefits

Based in a small and busy Finance Office and reporting to the Accounts Manager, the post involves a wide range of tasks and will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to expand and consolidate their experience while making a real contribution to the running of a prestigious institution.

First-rate IT and administration skills, including proven experience with bookkeeping and accounting software, are essential, along with a genuine enthusiasm for providing a first-rate service to both staff and members.

The London Library is a registered charity dedicated to the advancement of education, learning and knowledge by the provision and maintenance of an independent lending library housing a collection of 1.2 million books within the arts and humanities, dating from the 16th - 21st century. The Library has long played an important role in the literary life of the UK and today has 6,600 members who enjoy access to a unique collection, as well as extensive electronic resources and a host of other membership benefits.
