Infrastructure Operating under Galliford Try in England and Wales and Morrison Construction in Scotland, we are a leading contractor on infrastructure projects in the public and regulated sectors. Role Overview: GallifordTry Infrastructure - Rail, Aviation and Environment is a newly created business unit. The Aviation business is focused nationally and operates from bases in Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted airports, a landside and airside framework for the Manchester Airport Group and Civil Engineering and Building projects through three Frameworks at Gatwick airport The Aviation Managing QS role for the South East combines work winning, with successful project commercial delivery, as well as maintaining existing customer relationships. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Aviation Commercial Manager and alongside the Aviation Framework Director, you will be responsible for: - Commercial leadership of the MAG Framework at Stansted Airport and GAL Framework and Gatwick as well as non-framework tendered works - Supporting the bid process from receipt of tender documentation to handover to the production team, as required providing commercial leadership/ownership - Organising and directing of commercial resources for the overall commercial control at Stansted and Gatwick Airports - The appropriate procurement and selection of sub-contractors to carry out the works and placing of sub-contracts. - Ensuring that key dates, resource requirements, production rates, overhead targets etc., are established, monitored and controlled - Establishing and maintaining commercial and financial control systems, procedures and standards which will meet the contractual requirements of the project - Ensure compliance with the BMS and group commercial policy Experience and Qualifications: Applicants must be qualified to HND/degree level. Membership of an appropriate professional body would also be desirable. They must have a proven track of success of delivering projects within the civil engineering sector. Knowledge of the business risks and opportunities associated with project delivery within the Aviation sector. Experience of management of key suppliers including sub contractors and designers.
