Service Lift Engineer
PDERS originally traded as Porn Dunwoody Limited, having formed in 1927 as a company to manufacture, install and maintain lifts; The company was acquired by Otis as part of its strategy to provide an independent service proposition to the market place and in particular provide specialist support to the social housing sector in London. Today, the company continues to operate as an autonomous trading division within the Otis group, with the success and reputation enjoyed as a family owned company being built on through the support of the world`s largest lift company. PDERS have a proven track record of providing site based installation, repair, modernisation and maintenance of lifts for ninety years. PDERS is currently recruiting for an experienced service lift engineer, qualified to NVQ3 (or equivalent). The route will be across South West London and will predominantly include Kensington and Victoria. Dealing with maintenance and small repairs, you will work on a number of our major retail accounts, flats, office blocks and social housing units. Operating a variety of equipment, such as dock-levellers, goods and platform lifts, scissor lifts and hydraulics, as a lift engineer, it is essential that you have all-round knowledge of lift equipment. Whilst you must be a team player it is essential that as Maintenance Lift Engineer, you can also work on your own initiative, promoting and working to the required Group Health and Safety standards, at all times.
