Senior Sales Specialist (Building Performance & Sustainability)
Siemens, Building Technologies Division, is looking for an experienced sales specialist in the Building Performance and Sustainability (BPS) segment of Siemens Building Technologies, in order to join a cross divisional business united in Siemens Plc. (UK) named "Distributed Energy Systems". As a sales specialist you are the link between the customer and our local and remote service organizations ensuring service fulfillment and continuously promoting new offerings to enhance energy, operational and maintenance efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to shape this new business field through developing new models, offerings and commercial structures, co-creating new technical solutions with customers and partners and driving change within Siemens. (BPS) offers a comprehensive portfolio stretching from strategic advisory services in energy management and energy supply (commodity side of energy) to energy and building efficiency audits and projects, a wide range of continuous optimization services and measurement, verification and reporting. The addressable market includes industrial manufacturing companies, private and public real estate companies, hospitals, municipalities, and other medium to large owners of real estate, from single site facilities to national, pan-European or Global building portfolios. Siemens Distributed Energy Systems (DES) is a new and agile approach, to spearhead the Siemens role in the evolving and dynamic market of decentral or distributed energy. We combine the different offerings across different Siemens Divisions applying technical, commercial and financial innovation to form competitive offerings for our customers. This new business unit is combining a start-up mentality and decision making velocity with the capabilities and resources of a globally leading company. This is a nationwide customer facingrole therefore location of the successful candidateisflexible and will involve extensivetravel. Role and responsibilities - Responsibility to deliver content for energy, operational and maintenance efficiency (remote or on site) - Co-create offerings and propositions jointly with the customer. - Responsibility to determine service strategy and coordination of resources (local and central) to fulfill agreement according to set strategy. - Drive cross-divisional DES opportunities jointly with different Business Development colleagues from Siemens Energy Management, Building Technologies and Siemens Power & Gas, assessing DES opportunities in the sales funnel - Active and continuous customer communication including reoccurring strategy and alignment meetings - Responsibility to drive additional project sales to existing service customers. Close cooperation with centralized remote service organization to develop improvement proposals. - Responsibility to sell additional service to existing service customers. Close cooperation with centralized remote service organization and local service organization to develop proposals - Responsibility to extend/renew/transform existing service customers to ensure lifecycle profitability and customer loyalty - Responsibility to drive new service sales (energy, operational and maintenance efficiency) to new customers (greenfield acquisition). - Agree financial targets and ensure that personal performance is above target for both input metrics and output goals - Ensure compliance with standardised processes and introduce best practice with quality standards, demonstrating clear delivery methods and processes - Responsibility to be structuring (with the help of Siemens Financial Services) Energy Performance Contracts - Operate to the highest business standards, manage risk and protect the Siemens brand - Be a role model for internal collaboration and customer centric behaviour What do I need to qualify for this role? - Good understanding of the technical infrastructure of buildings, industrial manufacturing processes and technologies. - A solidunderstanding ofhow different activities can have a positive effect on energy, operational and maintenance efficiency. - Have atheoretical background in combination with field experience, i.e. have a good understanding about the practical use of ventilation, heating, cooling, lighting, heat recovery etc. - Provenand documented track record in service sales especially with more complex and tailored solutions. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ideally possess an engineeringdegree orequivalent qualificationin combination with demonstrable relevant work experience or at leastsubstantial relevant work experienced in combination with relevant training. - Have the ability to build excellent long lastingrelationships with stakeholderson many different levels. - Be goal oriented and excel in complex environments. - Have a greatpersonal drive and are used to working independently and focused. - You will be part of a team where positivism, transparency and team-work are key factors for success. - ESCO experience and consequently experience with Energy Performance Contracts is a requirement for this role.
