Trainee Material Handling Sales Executive
Linde Material Handling is one of the world's leading manufacturers of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment. In Europe, the company is the market leader with the Linde and Fenwick (France) brands. Due to the expansion of the sales team within the Linde South East region and to support its continued success, an opportunity has been created for a trainee Materials Handling Sales Executive reporting directly to the Sales Director. We are looking for graduate level candidates who are determined to have a highly successful career in sales and want to be part of our ambitious growth plans. The main purpose of the Materials Handling Sales Executive is to support the new truck sales team in delivering an on target performance. The successful candidate will focus on supporting increased coverage in weaker areas across the region, finding opportunities through a telesales approach. Alongside this you will focus on added value services our organisation can provide: service contracts, training, ancillary and used equipment. Longer term the focus will be on driving business marketing incentives and supporting sales managers in the field whilst acquiring and developing the skillset required to take on increased sales responsibility in due course. The role is an introduction into the materials handling industry and will deliver a focused, 1-2 year training programme to ensure you develop the skills and approach needed to succeed and progress within the Linde sales organisation. The ability to use initiative, build relationships and work with customers, colleagues and internal/external stakeholders to find the right solution are paramount to success in this role. Key Responsibilities Drive growth of the New Truck business, other value added services and contribute to the sales of used equipment. Consistently deliver targets set to achieve revenue and profit targets. Generate and pursue leads for new business through a range of methods including telephone cold calling, area cold calling and mail shots. Develop positive working relationships with potential and existing customers and constantly look for opportunities for Linde to add value to their businesses. Manage and maintain the company CRM system. Build rapport and work closely with each person involved in the sales function to maximise all possible opportunities. Shadow sales team members regularly to learn and develop selling skills and understand the key selling philosophies of the company. Actively engage in continuous training and development programmes. Attend trade shows to represent the value of the organisation within the market. Personal Characteristics: Drive, energy and ambition.
