With access to our range of unique and diverse opportunities, offering real career advancement and progression, we can unlock your potential too.Capita Local Government Services (LGS), a branch of Capita Business Services Ltd, specialises in providing support, advice and resources to local authorities throughout the UK.Key Responsibilities: * To oversee the accurate and timely processing of all payments received by the authorities * Responsibility for reconciliation of all payments received via Income Management systems to Integra financial system within predetermined timelines * Administration of suspense account ensuri006Eg identification of source and correctly allocating to relevant fund/account/code * Administration of unpaid cheques and charge backs * To identify opportunities for service improvements Skills/Background Essential * 3 GCSE A*- C (or equivalent) including Maths and English. * Experience of working in a team, within a financial environment. * Understanding of financial reconciliation procedures and processes. * Data matching skills * Ability to demonstrate confident and effective communication skills with both internal and external customers. * Be self-motivated, flexible whilst organised, to ensure deadlines are met the minimum of supervision. * Knowledge and ability to use standard office IT systems (e.g. Excel and Word) for the input and retrieval of data and record keeping.Desirable * Working knowledge of the practices and procedures of a local authority * Familiarity with Pay360 (previously AIM) income management system (although training will be given)What we hope you will do next Help us find out more about you by completing our short application process - click apply now.
