Manager, Capital Management - Specialist Reporting
Being a strong bank with a strong balance sheet is a critical foundation for Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) to fulfil its aims of becoming the best bank for customers and generating strong and stable returns for our shareholders.
Our balance sheet has been transformed since 2011, with our Core Tier 1 capital ratio increasing to 13.8% at December 2016 from 7.1% at the height of the financial crisis, putting LBG amongst the strongest within the banking sector worldwide. Crucial to this success is our robust and innovative approach to capital management, strategy and the development of capital optimisation initiatives.
Driven from the very top of the organisation, there is now an unprecedented level of focus on the efficient deployment and use of capital across LBG. As the Manager - Specialist Reporting, you'll be at the very heart of this critical area and playing a pivotal role working with our Retail and Consumer portfolios to support the development of capital management initiatives (planning, reporting, allocation and optimisation) for LBG's senior executives.
As part of the wider Retail & Consumer Credit Risk team, who are responsible for managing all aspects of credit risk for LBG's Retail and Consumer Bank, you'll have the opportunity to gain real breadth of consumer product experience, managing capital requirements right across our retail range - from mortgages, to motor finance, credit cards, personal current accounts and personal loans. You will also have the opportunity to become involved in strategic projects and regulatory change. Since our Retail and Consumer portfolios have exposures of around GBP400bn and RWAs of around GBP90bn, they form a material part of the Group's balance sheet and regulatory capital requirements.
Knowledge and experience of reporting regulatory capital is absolutely essential as well as exceptional analytical and presentational skills, both written and verbal.
You'll also have excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with a focus on delivering business impact.
A good understanding of CRD IV/ CRR and Basel requirements and the underlying capital frameworks is important and whilst not mandatory, experience in the development of retail (Secured or Unsecured) capital rating models would be useful.
In addition to the salary range quoted, this role offers a performance-related bonus, car allowance, private health cover, share schemes and a generous pension contribution along with the option to choose an additional cash lump sum or pick from a wide range of industry leading benefits.
In return for your expertise, you'll enjoy our total commitment to your ongoing personal and professional development. As a valued member of our team, you'll be supported to grow and advance through excellent training and progression opportunities.
