Main purpose of the role:

Working as part of a three-person in-house recruitment team, continuing to increase the effectiveness of direct recruitment for BGC, Cantor Fitzgerald and associated businesses.

Key responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle across multiple business functions (predominantly Finance, Operations, Audit, Sales)
  • Extensive CV sourcing on multiple job boards and websites, ensuring a continual pipeline of relevant candidates are available
  • Managing recruitment processes across Europe and Asia
  • Increasing the amount of internal referrals received
  • Coordinating interviews between the candidate and respective business area
  • Assist the Recruitment Manager in designing a Region-wide (Europe & Asia) recruitment policy and take a creative view on recruitment strategy
  • Promote methods of direct recruitment in order to reduce recruitment costs including intranet
  • Maintaining a comprehensive recruitment spreadsheet for each business unit
  • Sending weekly reports to hiring managers on the status of their open requisition(s)
  • Discuss roles and candidate profiles with hiring managers and ensure job descriptions are in place for all open positions
  • Review and maintain Preferred Supplier List covering back office/support departments and ensuring that only approved suppliers are used
  • Ensure that the relevant approval authorisation is obtained for the hiring process and that all documentation is in place
  • When required collate CVs and providing a shortlist of suitable candidates for hiring managers
  • Assist with Graduate / campus recruitment when required
  • Assisting the Back Office HR team with ad hoc HR administration

Skills / experience required:

  • Prior recruitment experience essential
  • Experience using a variety of recruiting methods, such as social media websites and job boards
  • Good communication skills is essential in order to build relationships with hiring managers and senior managers in the organisation
  • Previous experience using Oracle and Taleo desirable
