Financial Controller - Lloyds Broker

An opportunity to join a successful and expanding independent Lloyds broker based in the City of London.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director as part of a small team of accounting and finance professionals you will assume responsibility for a wide range of functions including;

- all financial reporting
- budgeting & forecasting
- compliance & regulatory responsibilities

??Responsible for the supervision and production of monthly management information, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, Cash-flows, with variance analysis and commentaries
??Assisting with the preparation of strategic plans, budgets and forecasts with associated analysis.
??Assisting with departmental forecasting and budgeting, continual development of internal control processes and analysis.
??Provide rigorous financial control for the various companies within the group as well as its affiliates and/or subsidiaries
??Assist in production of Client Money Calculations and cashbook control
??Assist with the Compliance and Regulatory reporting requirements to appropriate bodies in a timely fashion.
??Evaluating and monitoring information systems and ensure best practices are developed and used.
??Contribute to overall cost reviews and contract proposal negotiations
??Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions
??Develop a best in class Finance function which provides an excellent financial management infrastructure.
??Assuming responsibility to the scheduling and monitoring of work schedules, to ensure deadlines are met.
??Assisting on a day to day basis with any duties or ad hoc projects assigned.
??Undertaking any other responsibilities assigned to you by the Chiefs and/or Board due to business requirements

Skills, Kowledge,Experience:
??Qualified accountant or QBE
??Prior experience working within a Lloyds broker - essential
??Able to manage multiple currencies
??Have a good working knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
??SAGE Line 50
??Excellent Computer skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
??Flexible and adaptable. Team ethic

Salary : GBP55,000 to GBP70,000 depending on skills, knowledge and value
