Retail Bank Relief Assistant Managers

  • Would you like to work for a much loved local charity?
  • Do you love to make a real difference?
  • Would you like to join a highly successful Retail team with hours to suit you?

Due to expansion and internal promotion we are looking for candidates to provide holiday and sickness cover in our chain of charity retail shops in East and West Sussex.

You will deputise for our managers and co-ordinate the day to day activities of our varied and busy shops. As a Relief Assistant Manager, you will bring superb retail and customer service skills, visual creativity and a flair for fashion.

This is an exciting opportunity to experience a wide variety of retail styles. Previous charity retail success would be an advantage, however full training would be given to the right candidates.

Testimonial from Shaun, current Relief Assistant Manager

"Having previously had careers in the Army and Financial Services, I never dreamt I would be working in Charity Shops. However, the bank role offered by St Barnabas Hospices is extremely flexible, interesting and varied. It allows me to fit part time work around my life. The work /life balance it provides allows me to enjoy semi- retirement, meet a lot of great people and feel that I am doing something worthwhile for a great cause."

A full, clean driving licence and access to own transport is essential for this post.

Salary: GBP7.54 per hour (GBP14,720 full time equivalent based on 37.5 hours per week) with generous travel allowance and holiday entitlement.

Closing date: Friday 8 September 2017

How to apply

We do not require any other documents at this stage but we will ask for your right to work in the UK at interview and evidence of all qualifications you identify in your application form.

An enhanced DBS will be sought, if you are successful in this role. (Safeguarding)
