An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Information Systems (MIS) Manager who is ready to take on a more senior role to join our busy team at West Herts College in this new Full Time role.

The MIS Department is a critical department in the college that provides the College with high quality reliable student data that supports decision-making at a senior level. It provides its stakeholders with regular timely and accurate updates, statistical analysis and management reporting.

You must be able to provide expert knowledge on funding and data rules, keeping up-to-date with Government initiatives, thus ensuring the college is fully compliant.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the timely and accurate returns made to all college stakeholders in accordance with agencies Funding Rules. You will assume responsibility for internal/external audit visits, being the point of contact for all Learner Funding audits, including ESFA visits.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic leader who can manage and develop the talent within the MIS workforce and continuously up-skill the team to meet the needs of the business and college objectives. You will be well versed in the development of high quality student related reporting, including the use of dashboards accessible to College staff.

You will direct the MIS service to make best use of the technology, facilitating change to deliver new ways of working which support the College's strategic objectives and core values. To ensure all College information systems are maintained and updated as required, and to work with all relevant managers to this effect.

As an associate member of the College Leadership Group (CLG) you will participate in the formulation and implementation of College strategy and ensure that CLG is briefed on developments affecting the MIS service. The postholder will be accountable for the direction and oversight, both strategically and operational, of the MIS Department and its functions.
