The Fixed Income & Rates Sales team is a dynamic client facing business within Global Markets, with a consistent presence here since the 1980's. The primary purpose of the role is to develop Interest Rates derivatives distribution with a main focus on the AUD/NZD market, in order to increase profitability and client conversations. Additionally you will have access to the full Fixed Income product suite. Your institutional clients will be a mix of real money and bank treasuries, with a selective approach to hedge funds. It's envisaged that your clients will mostly be in the UK, but you will also have access to the EMEA area to develop the Interest Rates derivatives product. Simultaneously you will be required to support the growth of CBA's market share in Global Fixed Income & Rates and related businesses, as well as cross sell products and co-operate with the wider IB&M team.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in Interest Rate derivatives and Fixed Income products
  • Knowledge of the AUD & NZD Fixed Income & Rates institutional clients would be very desirable
  • Knowledge of Murex required
  • Demonstrated strong sales capabilities - with proven client track record
  • Effective use of research and trade ideas
  • Experience of electronic delivery platforms eg. Markitwire, Bloomberg, Tradeweb
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) including presentation skills
  • A team player effectively interacting with key stakeholders (trading, Debt Capital Markets, research, syndication)
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Adapts well and enjoys change
  • Proven commitment to comply with regulations, policies and processes
  • Fluent in another European language desirable
