Job Title: Head of Risk

Skills: Proven ability to oversee and manage multiple risk types, including credit, market, operational, investment, regulatory and strategic risk and specifically liquidity. SMR 4 qualfied.

Salary: Highly Competitive

Status: Permanent, full-time

Your Duties:

" Develop and maintain operational, credit, market and liquidity risk management policies for implementation across the Branch.

" Formulate and articulate a coherent risk appetite and infrastructure, including operating and financial models.

" Develop, manage and refine qualitative and quantitative risk reporting which meets the needs of the Branch management in order to support effective decision making.

" Prepare and deliver risk reports to the Audit and Risk Committees as well as the senior management team

" Continuously develop, enhance and embed the risk framework to deliver effective risk management to the business and continue to educate the business in effective risk management ensuring that processes are fit for purpose.

" Collaborate with the senior management team and other senior managers across the business moulding a high-achieving, well-controlled organisation which can achieve growth targets safely and identify, assess and control emerging risks prior to material P&L impact.

" Review and challenge the senior management regarding the design and effectiveness of controls to manage risks within established risk appetite.

" Analyse any current or future gaps in resourcing within the Risk function.

" Engage with regulators as and when required by business and jurisdictional needs.

" Monitor and communicate relevant regulatory and industry developments.

Key competencies/experience:

" Proven ability to oversee and manage multiple risk types, including credit, market, operational, investment, regulatory and strategic risk and specifically liquidity, concentration and counterparty risk within a banking environment

" Recent experience of carrying out the responsibilities of SMR 4

" Business focussed with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills and able to operate up to senior management level.

" Able to prioritise multiple projects and deadlines.

" Able to identify and monitor risk in collaboration with Compliance and Audit.

" Attention to detail, and the ability to recognise and investigate reporting anomalies
