Charity People are excited to be working with a women's domestic abuse charity based in central London. This charity is looking for a proactive IT Helpdesk and Support Administrator to join their team as soon as possible. The organisation operates on a national basis providing homes for abused women and children escaping domestic violence. Given the nature of the organisation all staff members are expected to operate in a sensitive and confidential manner.The role involves maintaining an IT Service Desk to support users to ensure a high level of support and customer service to the employees of the organisation. You will provide first level assistance to all users, administering the service desk and the call logging system, ensuring calls are logged and escalated where required. You will coordinate call responses with other IT staff and third party suppliers to resolve problems as well as troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connections, printer and software issues reported to the IT team. The role involves occasional travel to other regional service location to ensure smooth operation as well as administering mobile equipment to personnel, configuring set up of new starters. You will also be involved in supporting the IT team with special projects.To be considered for the position you will have experience in providing support in a helpdesk/desktop support capacity, previous experience in Microsoft Server/desktop environment, knowledge of upgrading and troubleshooting PC hardware and networking systems. You will have experience of providing technical support in an Ethernet environment, as well as using and supporting Windows XP, Vista and Win7. You will also be strong team player and able to use your initiative when problem solving and have excellent communications skills.
