The company are a leading FMCG beverage distribution company. They supply to both on trade and off trade customers across the UK. The company have exciting growth plans for 2017. As one of the UK's leading networks this is a great opportunity. They are currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join them for an interim period.

Duties include:

* Produce a monthly management report for the Directors and shareholders of the group

* Prepare monthly management accounts including profit and loss, trial balance and group reporting

* Monitor monthly profit and loss to ensure expense recognition and classification, asset depreciation, expensing of prepayments, and timing of recognition of income and expenditure is as per accounting standards

* Produce daily, monthly and yearly cash flow forecasts and reports

* Reconcile balance sheet accounts to manual and source systems

* Manage day to day running of the accounts department - specifically sales, debtors, inter-company recharges, staff expenses and month-end analysis

* Work with the Finance Manager in the preparation of statutory accounts

* Provide explanation of cash flow and profit and loss variances and trends between actual and budget figures to Chief Financial Officer and Directors

* Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and statutory audit working papers

* Prepare and review monthly operating cost reports

* Responsible for pensions reconciliation and recharges

* Process weekly payment run for approval and authorisation

* Produce monthly VAT returns

* Manage sales ledger including invoicing, issuing of customer statement and query resolution

* Manage debtors, authenticated new customers and responsible for credit management

* Responsible for management and processing of company expenses claims including credit cards

* Prepare, issue and manage inter-company invoices including recharge accounts

* Process and reconcile the balance sheet including accruals, cash book, fixed assets and insurance claims

* Create spread sheets to assist with calculating make good calculations, lease incentive, payroll accruals, annual and long service leave accruals and other requirements as per international accounting standards

* Manage the year end audit including communication with external auditors, supervision of staff to ensure all audit requests were met and maintained files of supporting documentation for audit purposes
