Portfolio Finance Manager to join our rapidly expanding team in the heart of London.

With a dual role of managing post-completion portfolio performance reporting and also managing a local finance and accounting team, this position operates at the heart the business, providing crucial information to support decision making and governance activities.

Our client is a venture capital firm who invest in high-growth companies in the mobility and smart transportation sector.


The Portfolio Finance Manager based in London will have the following responsibilities:

* Provide in-depth analysis and regular reporting of the performance of the firm's portfolio companies, covering both investment activities and proprietary service development.

* Implement robust systems and processes to ensure smooth information flow between the firm and its portfolio.

* Lead the six monthly valuation/impairment processes, risk management activity, and audit reviews.

* Challenging the underlying assumptions of portfolio companies, venture partners, and investment team.

* Assessing the ongoing cash requirements of portfolio companies and internal proprietary service companies, and anticipated funding rounds.

* Advise upon and transact initial investment recognition and ongoing technical accounting requirements.

* Manage a small finance and accounting team providing local support, transaction processing and reporting.

* Lead in-year profit and cash flow forecast, also coordinating the development of the business plan.

* Create and develop trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to help in the alignment and execution of growth strategy.


The Portfolio Finance Manager based in London will have had the following exposure:

* Portfolio management professionals with several years' experience within investment management

* Professional accounting qualification, ACA or ACCA.

* Business/economics degree e.g. BA, BSc in Business, Economics, Finance (minimum 2:1 or equivalent) from a leading academic institution

* Experience in building financial models, imaginative business intelligence solutions, and delivering complex projects.

* Eligible to work in UK.
