Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (GBMet) (formerly Northbrook College and City College Brighton) aims to transform the lives of students across the Greater Brighton region. The college will invest in a broad curriculum offer establishing a sound educational footing of mathematics, English and employability skills while at the same time developing a suite of technical and vocational specialisms at level 3 and above. There will be an expansion of its higher education and technical offer and an emphasis on apprenticeships and work based learning.

We are looking for an experienced, qualified and occupationally competent Lecturer in Beauty Therapy to assist with the organisation and delivery of all levels of our beauty courses, specialising in anatomy and physiology and electrical science, providing a high quality education experience for students.

The College has superb facilities at 'Allure Hair & ' a suite of purpose built teaching salons and classrooms.

Your role will be to assist in student guidance, recruitment and diagnostic assessment also course design and preparation, including the provision of schemes of work, individual learning plans and evaluation and self-assessment.

The successful candidate must hold beauty therapy qualifications up to and including level 3 and have an excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology to be able to teach across all curriculum levels.

It is also essential to have previous recent professional/occupational experience of modern beauty therapy techniques including beauty electricals. A full teaching qualification and experience of teaching 14 - 19 year old students in school or college based provision is also essential as are assessor qualifications.

Also an understanding of tutorial responsibilities, quality assurance procedures and current and future FE curriculum developments is required.
