WE seeks a WE Schools Coordinator to join our WE Schools department which develops and implements unique programmes to engage young people in learning about social issues and taking action to support WE Charity's sustainable community development work overseas, as well as its local programming across the UK. The WE Schools Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the WE Schools outreach strategy which aims to increase the number of schools committed to and engaged with the WE Schools programme across the UK. The WE Schools Coordinator will be the key relationship manager for their profile and will be responsible for building relationships with schools who are yet to engage with the WE Schools programme.

The successful candidate will be passionate and committed to the core beliefs of the organisation.

This is a permanent role and there is a six (6) month probationary period. This position resides within WE's United Kingdom operation in London.

The salary is GBP21,000 per annum.

Your Impacts (Responsibilities):

Educational Programme Coordination:

Relationship Management

Engage teachers/senior leadership/staff in schools in the holistic opportunities of experiential and active citizenship for students through WE
Serve as an advisor and liaison to schools and teachers and provide them with resources and support to implement WE fundraisers and awareness raising campaigns
Ensure that you have a solid understanding of the curriculum of the region(s) you are working in, as well as understanding the educational landscape and the wider context in which your portfolio of schools sits
Discuss teacher needs and craft relevant solutions for the market and schools you are responsible for
Find engagement opportunities for partner initiatives within your portfolio, where relevant
Support with planning and execution of WE Day, as it relates to your daily responsibilities and your assigned in-venue role


Work with the WE Schools Outreach Manager to develop diverse outreach strategies relevant to the area of the UK you will be working in, including adapting outreach methods on a case-by-case basis to ensure effective engagement of schools
Implement an outreach strategy in order to increase the number of schools engaged in the WE Schools programme in line with internal and external KPIs and targets
Design and execute an annual communication plan for each teacher within your portfolio that include email, phone and Skype calls and school visits where possible
Attend and contribute to the planning and organisation of WE conferences, events and speaking engagements, as they pertain to your portfolio of schools and when appropriate
Flexibility to travel to attend special events for school and teacher meetings

Project Management:

Ensure our CRM system and all files pertaining to your portfolio of schools are kept up to date and are accurate
Prepare and provide regular reports on the status of your portfolio and activities in line with KPIs and targets set
Support with impact measurement of school actions across all programmes and campaigns using both quantitative and qualitative information
Provide other administrative support within the department and wider team as and when required

Reporting and Relationships:

The WE School's Coordinator will report directly to the WE Schools Outreach Manager. They will work closely with other WE School's Coordinators, as well as WE Schools Partnerships Manager, to ensure effective delivery and implementation of the WE Schools programme to achieve desired results.

Relevant professional work experience
Experience in sales, working to targets and building customer relationships
Highly self-motivated, a problem solver, solution focused and a strategic thinker
Sales-oriented mindset, motivated by goals and experience meeting and surpassing targets
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently with a wide variety of stakeholders
Dependable and able to follow instructions as well as take responsibility for individual actions and honour commitments
Proficient use of MS Office programmes and experience with database management (preferably Salesforce)


Experience in the education sector e.g. teaching experience or school-based experience
Strong knowledge of learning pedagogy and Scottish/Welsh/English/Northern Irish curriculum
Understanding of private and independent school education systems
Understanding of active citizenship, civic engagement and a passion for social justice issues
Willingness to travel periodically for work (within the UK and internationally)
