My client is looking for an Information Governance Officer to lead the development and implementation of information architecture ensuring both electronic and paper records created and managed within the appropriate framework of a renewed information management strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of the organisations Information & Records Management Strategy
Implement an Information Architecture that enables information to be structured for simple and effective use
Line manage a Records Manager and Assistant Records Manager
Lead the development and delivery of training and awareness programme
Act as the organisations Data Protection Officer and handle any work necessary to ensure GDPR compliance

Person Specification

Good overall knowledge of IT systems including SharePoint and Records Management applications
Experience in managing Information Architecture project delivery
Change management experience including the implementation of new technologies
Designing and implementing information management policies and procedures
Understanding of information governance and how it supports organisations
