Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00 (1 hour lunch)

What you'll be doing each day:

Within this challenging role you will be part of and supporting the senior management team to ensure compliance and controls are managed and effective throughout the business.

The role of a Compliance Officer is to ensure that the UK business is carried out in accordance with local rules and regulations and to support and advise the key business stakeholders on compliance matters. You will also be required to assist in reviewing new product proposals and providing advice on applicable regulatory requirements and necessary permissions.

- Ensuring internal controls are well documented, tested and re-mediated

- Stakeholder management

- Creation of ad hoc reports for the Leadership team and European Board of Executives

- Ensuring compliance with the local requirements and regulations

- Performing regular monitoring to ensure that standards are adhered to

- Assist in ensuring that there is proper coordination with external auditors, local/group internal auditors to ensure smooth delivery of duties/tasks and that exceptions raised are properly followed-up.

- Conduct special investigations or reviews as and when required

- Perform other additional tasks as required from time to time as directed by the leadership team and the European Board of Directors.

The skills you'll need to succeed:

- Corporate finance experience and understanding is essential

- Experience of managing others

- Fluent in Mandarin, both written and verbal (Essential)

- In-depth knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements

- Attention to detail and good organisation skills

- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

- Very strong written and presentation skills

- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

- Proactive, with the ability to generate ideas, think creatively and develop innovative solutions

- Discrete and has sense for integrity and handles highly sensitive information with absolute confidentiality

- Confidence to work in a stand-alone role
