Senior Support Worker - Barnet
About the role
As our new Senior Support Worker, you will support our amazing individuals and contribute to the development of Support Workers within the team. This opportunity is offered on a permanent full time basis, working 37.5 hours per week in an accommodation services setting.
You will contribute to the day to day running of a responsive innovative and high quality service for people sensory impairments and complex needs. Special attention will be paid to the creation of a continuous learning environment that will seek to maximise the potential of each person we support.

Flexibility is needed as working times do vary and will include evenings, weekends and sleep-ins; we will however provide you with a rota in advance so you can plan your life accordingly.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of motivating others including carrying out supervision meetings. You will have experience of working with adults with disabilities, monitoring the care provided and identifying and resolving issues arising from the 'day to day' operation.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate willingness to participate in training and development.
You will have the ability to communicate in a variety of different methods and be prepared to deal with challenging situations; we will support you to further develop these skills. You will also be expected to work on your own initiative and show patience and understanding.
