Our Client is in the process of accelerating their online capabilities and has recently launched a new, improved website and an updated eCommerce portal. They now have ambitious plans to further develop their online experience be providing greater online functionality to their customers and partners.

The role of Contract and Vendor Manager for the Client Services Portfolio is a key role within our ClientsIT Infrastructure Services Vendor Management function. As overall accountability for managing the vendors and related underpinning contracts responsible for delivering Desktop, Mobility, Mail, Print and Messaging services to our Client, the successful applicant will have a proven track record of managing large scale procurement activities, complex vendor and stakeholder relationships, extensive knowledge and experience of managing outsourced engagements.

The role also has responsibility for managing suppliers and supplier contracts throughout the engagement lifecycle, including the negotiation of terms and conditions, changes and modifications, enforcement of performance clauses, review of vendor performance, and day to day management of the vendor and contract portfolio.

The contract and vendor manager works closely with service management, sourcing and legal functions, and is the key contact and subject matter expert for all contract-related governance, financial management and tender activities.

Key responsibilities

- Responsible for day to day management of contracts and contract lifecycle for a portfolio of suppliers.
- Maintains a comprehensive overview of contracts and contract milestones, assuring compliance and value realisation. Maintains contract metadata in contract repository.
- Build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, managing stakeholder expectations and activities. Act as a liaison between IT and vendors in major dispute resolution concerning supplier performance.
- Manage vendor performance via contract and relationship activities.
- Evaluate supplier base for cost savings opportunities. Participate in Sourcing and Negotiation activities as contract manager and subject matter expert.
- Identifies and engages services of new suppliers in support of IT requirements.
- Accountable for Risk identification and mitigation related to the allocated contract portfolio.
- Implement and maintain governance framework and participating in governance boards with key vendors.

Required experience

- Proven business experience with responsibility for contract management, procurement, finance or other related functions. Legal or semi-legal background an advantage; knowledge of Danish and/or UK law a requisite.
- Experience as a vendor/contract manager from similar global organisations
- Experience from an IT organisation
- Typical previous roles include Analyst, procurement roles

Technical skills

- Must be well versed in key contract terminology associated with including indemnification, intellectual property, force majeure, and amendments/exhibits/SOWs
- Familiarity with IT Standards and frameworks
- Risk Analysis and Management
- Strategic Planning

Business skills

- Must be adept at building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong reading comprehension and ability to self-direct
- Must be able to challenge internal stakeholders to better understand their needs
- Ability to challenge the external stakeholders to obtain best possible terms and conditions for the company
- Mastery of English in both written and spoken form.
