Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Central London.

What will I be responsible for?

The main purpose of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor is to provide administrative support for the surveying team to maximise cash flow and secure contractual position of. Your duties will also include:

- Review of clients' contracts and warrantees to ensure that contractual risk is minimised
- Assist in the management of the flow of information to and from the company
- Manage the variation process and ensure the company position is secured financially and contractually
- Assist in the preparation submission and agreement of interim application for payment and ensure cash received, including the submission and agreement of V.O's, dayworks and any subcontract amounts
- Prepare, and assist in the submission and agreement of final accounts, including subcontractors accounts and ensure receipt of cash through to issue of final certificate.
- Aid in the collection of retention amounts and collection of all final certificates
- Assist in the management of the central register of seals and retrieval of all bonds and warranty documentation
- Maintain accurate central contract files for all correspondence and other related contractual documentation, including transfer to company archive after issue of final certificate
- Assist in the management and documentation of the snagging and handover process to secure the company's liability position

What we are looking for

The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor have:

- Proven experience operating within the commercial environment in the building construction and/or maintenance industry.
- Technical understanding and Ideally working towards a recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Demonstrate experience of managing Health & Safety compliance including CDM requirements
- Demonstrate understanding of estimating project costs.
- Demonstrable a good understanding of margin and cash flow. through project delivery phase
- Knowledge of key Pre-construction procedures, eg Procurement, Planning and Contracts.
